Very less often you come across a place which has a theme bigger in thought. Sure, many restaurants function based on a particular theme and they go all the way to get things done in that theme. But not all are special. Last year when a friend told about a place in New Delhi where we’re served by waiters who’re deaf and mute I was surprised. To prove to me that it is one of the good places to go for food, he took me 4 times in 7 months and we all took a liking to its theme and taste. I even met the team who started it and appreciated their efforts. I suggested them to open Echoes in Bengaluru too as people here would love it. He told me that they are planning to open one shortly in Koramangala.

Fast forward 8 months I get a phone call from a friend telling about this new place which serves awesome food and always crowded. Yes, it is Echoes. I took my friends for a lunch and they loved it. They have set up a nice place in Koramangala 5th block spacious enough to accommodate large crowd. Food is almost same as in Delhi but few changes in the menu. Here they have a place for musicians too, organizing fun weekends. Try their fiery chicken, Amsterdam fries, baked portions of pasta and burgers are all good. I personally recommend you to try Ferraro Rocher or Choco death shakes. Good food and beautiful ambiance are what we all expect from any place. These people have got it.

I want to specially mention their system to interact with differently abled waiters and staff. It is genuine and won’t cause you any troubles to order your food. After you get into your table they’ll give you menu, order notepad and pen. You just have to look through your menu and choose things to order. Then write down the code against each dish and quantity. Write your name and phone number and give to waiter. To call them you can just press the switches near each table. They will come and take your  notepad. Everything is done in noiseless way which i like here. Echoes is very deep meaning word for the way this restaurant works.

Prices won’t burn your pockets so feel free to take your loved ones here for a meal or just to visit. I’m sure they’ll love it

Wishing them good luck, will be visiting soon.

Old bangalore has many places which still stand tall and are ready to tell tales if you’re willing to listen. Koshys is one such place where everything is special and has that old taste of history attached to it. It was in my bucket list form over 10 years but never got the time or company to visit. This time we made up our mind that we’ll have our sunday brunch here come what may be.
It is very easy to locate near MG road and Hard Rock Cafe but if you make a mistake and cannot find it then you can ask anyone coming near MG road metro station. Go early as possible because as time extends more people come in and you’ll end up waiting for your chance which may not come for quite long time. Everyone who comes here will have a plan in mind to stay for longer period telling stories of the past, doing business meetings, talking about previous weeks news etc.
They’re famous for their burgers and sandwiches so feel free to choose. Their meat dishes are famous too so if you’re here for lunch or dinner pick some pork vindaloo with rice or prawn curry.
Prices wont bother you so much so go ahead and visit this place asap because I’m going back soon.

Another bucket-list place checked. Decided suddenly so paid a hurried visit but after going there decided to take some time with their flavours n menu and enjoy the place. I cant think of other place which can serve more variety of European dishes than this place in Bengaluru except for premium hotels. Very thoughtful design of white and black and staff are super friendly. Tried their Duet of chicken skewers, lamb kibbeh+quesso and French fries for starters with sangria and martinis. Then tried their German wurstel and sautéed onions, cheesy Alfredo penne with smoked chicken for main course. We wanted to eat more but our max capacity was reached that day. Prices are bit towards higher side but totally worth it. Good place and warm ambiance. Definitely going back to try their breakfast menu.

Every now then I find myself in satisfaction with food in some special places. This is undoubtedly the one in recent present. Checked it out on a regular weekday for brunch and it was worth it. Tried their all English breakfast, funky monkey waffle, roast beef omelette, porky 9 hole breakfast and their fruit juices. Watermelon, lime n ginger and guava juices were perfect. Meat was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Only problem I had was with the seating. We were given outside table and its surroundings were dirty with paan spit marks and dust. Management should look into that and keep the outer tables and their surroundings clean. Have deducted 1 rating because of this. Food was great and at such affordable prices. Must visit for breakfasts and I’ll definitely go back soon.

Idli, kesaribath n vada are the three basic components of south Indian breakfast and this place serves them as good as they come. I’m regular customer here from many years and they have done some renovation but keeping the old board and flavors. Bit expensive than normal hotels but come on its worth it. You can get your family here and I’m sure none of them will dislike it if they have good tongue for good food. Small place with lot of history and healthy delicious breakfast. I’ll be going here frequently when I feel I should taste mallige idlis and delicious kesaribath. Since I don’t drink caffeine drinks I don’t know about their coffee but most people do get coffee after idlis.
